2nd Week of Computer Training

The Computer Literacy Trainging Class is doing great. They are learning.
This week the class searched the internet and set up new email accounts.
When the (4) four weeks are finished, they will receive a certificate.
Come join us for the next 4 week classes start on Sept. 5, 2006, 10am-1pm.
At Chetwyn Rodgers Drive Development Center, 25 N. Cicero, Chicago, IL 60644.

Great Day

The picnic at the lighthouse was a success. When we arrived kids were shooting hoops, music was playing, people were eating, playing bingo and winning prizes. Someone was playing the drums and someone else was play the bongos while the DJ played cds. Some people were dancing and having a good time. I enjoyed eating a vegetable burger, corn, cotton candy and a Lipton Ice tea. When it was over we helped put away instruments and sound equipment into the music room. We had a great day. You need to check it out next year.

Picnic at Lighthouse for the blind

I am excited to volunteer at the Lighthouse for the blind and visually impaired's picnic on Fri. August 11, 2006, 12pm-2pm. There will be games, food and fun. Georgetta, Anthony and I will help with basketball. So, bring your gym shoes and jump shot.

To God be the Glory

I want to thank God, Pastor Curtis Rodgers, Ms. Hallie Mays and all of the students who made history this past Tuesday at our first Free Interpreted Computer Literacy Training Program for the Deaf/Hard of hearing. It was at the Chetwyn Rodgers Drive Development Center, 25 N. Cicero, Chicago, IL 60644. The pastor was blessed by your presence and testimonies. I was truly thankful to God because the Holy Spirit used me to teach and sign the computer skills to the deaf community. Hallelujah.
